Do NOT use Adam Bowling of Bowling Built Construction.
He did not finish the job and walked out on the contract, but owes several thousand dollars worth of work that has been paid for. (He still has the money with no intention of returning it.)
He paid subcontractors so late that a lien notice was filed and subcontractors were knocking on the door asking for their money, which had already been paid to Adam Bowling (the general contractor) often weeks to over a month before the subs even began their work.
In addition, he is a human being without integrity, as mentioned above, or a solid work ethic. He often went, quite literally, many days to weeks at a time without any work being done or scheduled, and rarely to never returned calls or texts of homeowners or subs in anything resembling a timely manner.
It's now been over five months for a job that he promised would be done in 4-6 weeks, and we have been assured via a letter without legal basis he will not finish the several thousands of dollars in work that he has already been paid for.
He is also out of compliance with the Secretary of State (SOS) and has a PO Box listed for lawsuit notifications (registered agent), which is against Georgia Corporate Regulations (OCGA). His company is also being dissolved by the SOS because we've notified them of his noncompliance and he hasn't paid his fee in several years.
Notice there are no reviews online, either. How is that possible with his "12 years of experience" as mentioned on his website? That's a red flag.
Once again, he is Adam Bowling, and his Georgia General Contractors license number is RBQA004113, under the name of "Adam Christopher Bowling". I provide this information in case he decides to set up business under a different name.

It would appear that the reviews speak for themselves. Must Replace Deck as Inspectors State "Too Dangerous to Use, must be torn down and replaced"
Code Violations by Bowling and Adam:
Bowling and Adam failed to properly treat Field cut ends, notches and drilled holes of preservative treated wood in the field.
Bowling and Adam failed to obtain a Permit as required by the City of Alpharetta and the North Farm Homeowners Association and was communicated to Bowling and Adam prior to submission of bid and again upon the commencement of work.
Bowling and Adam did not utilize the proper spacing of the 2x10 joists and/or should have used a 2x12’s per the Code.
Bowling and Adam has an exterior Splice which exists without proper bracing or brackets.
Did not use clip angles or brackets to support framing members. – Bowling and Adam used angle Clip Hangers to mount the Joists and did not use Joist Hangers.
Bowling and Adam installed a ledger Board in violation of the Code and should have built a Free Standing Deck. Bowling and Adam is in violation of the PROHIBITED LEDGER ATTACHMENTS section.
Bowling and Adam failed to install any flashing enabling leakage into the basement of the home.
Bowling and Adam failed to make the Post to Beam connection per either code compliance methods. No Post Caps.
Bowling and Adam failed to treat any of the Posts or Wood Cuts in the field.
Bowling and Adam failed to install footings per Code. The current footings are sonic tubes that are 12" deep and only a few inches below grade and are not the proper PSI Concrete.
Stair Stingers are cut through 3/4's of the way causing weakness.
Bowling and Adam installed a ledger Board through the Brick fascia which is prohibited
Bowling and Adam failed to install any Lateral Supports
Bowling and Adam failed to install any footings near the home to support the vertical loads.
Bowling and Adam failed to use the proper Joist sizes for the size and load of the deck which requires 2x12’s.
Bowling and Adam failed to install any Guard Posts attachments using Hold Down Anchors attached to the outside joists and rim joists.
Bowling and Adam failed to install any Sloped Stair Stringers attached to the outside joist
Bowling and Adam failed to install Stair Guard properly; it is currently 45” on one side and 46” on the other side
Bowling and Adam failed to install any footings to hold the Stair Guard
Bowling and Adam failed cut Stair Stringer properly.
Bowling and Adam has installed the deck out of Level. The left side of the deck, when facing the house from the deck, is 3” from the Door and the right side is 2” from the door.
Bowling and Adam has installed the Railing Top and Bottom 2x4’s with nails and screws to the posts. In some places it is eleven (11) screws or nails and in others it is one (1) screw or nail. Bowling and Adam needs to replace these Top and Bottom 2x4’s and nail properly.
Bowling and Adam has installed the Railing Top and Bottom 2x4’s with nails and screws at the end connections. In some places it is six (6) screws or nails and therefore has crushed the 2x4. Bowling and Adam needs to replace the Top and Bottom 2x4.
Bowling and Adam has installed the 2x2 pickets with nails. Many of the nails were not installed properly and have split the wood, crushed the wood fibers, and in other places have not nailed the pickets fully.
Bowling and Adam has installed the 2x2 pickets in the stairs using an old used Railing Top and Bottom 2x4’s which has caused excessive nail holes to be seen and potentially unsafe.
Bowling and Adam has failed to clean up the nails, screws, materials properly under and around the deck.
Bowling and Adam failed to locate the natural Crown in the Wood before installing the joists. Several of the joists need replacement/correction.
